At the outset of 2024, much like our fellow independent garages across the UK, we embarked on an extraordinary journey with the 1Tec Autohub Connect conference. This event served as a dynamic platform, bringing together teams from independent garages to connect, share experiences, and ignite inspiration.
The event, spanning an engaging day with four enlightening sessions, offered a wealth of information for all attendees. The stage was initially graced by the Magnificent Seven – representatives from esteemed brands partnered with 1Tec Auto Hub. Pagid, Shell, Slickers, Varta, Valeo, Schaeffler, ZF, and MPM Oils showcased their products and demonstrated how they can bolster small businesses.
Chris O’Rourke, the Director of Commercial Channels at LKQ Euro Car Parts, took the spotlight next. His keynote address honed in on guiding workshops like CCM to thrive amidst challenging times by embracing change. His insightful perspectives left us with valuable takeaways for our own businesses.
The subsequent panel, featuring Tim Benson, Matt Cleevely, and Kev Pearce, provided valuable insights on maximizing and optimizing the opportunities that come our way.
The day’s grand finale featured a special panel, headlined by our Operations Manager, Tina. Her discussion highlighted how minor adjustments can yield monumental impacts across the business. The positive reception of her ideas was evident as attendees approached her throughout the event, commending her insights and expressing gratitude for shedding light on ways to improve.
Further enriching the discourse were Alex Lindley, who delved into effective reporting on business success to achieve goals, and Nathan Taylor, who inspired everyone to generate more content and strategically plan our social media efforts.
The day was finished with dinner and drinks plus lots of socialising with like-minded businesses.
The 1Tec Autohub Connect conference truly proved to be a nexus of knowledge, collaboration, and inspiration, propelling our independent garage community forward into the new year.
