We specialise in automatic gearbox flushing and servicing. Our team utilises the latest flushing equipment and diagnostic tools to ensure your vehicle’s gearbox operates smoothly and efficiently.

Three reasons to choose CCM for your gearbox service

The main dealer’s prices are likely to be 2 or 3 times more than using an independent like CCM. This is because we purchase the oils in bulk meaning we can pass on a bigger saving to the customer.

Other garages may say that they can change your automatic gearbox oil but make sure to check if they can flush it too. For a deep and thorough oil change, you want to be flushing the entire system.

Remember that good, routine maintenance is always cheaper than repair. If you don’t take care of your car’s oil it will lead to premature wear, parts failure and MORE MONEY.

Gearbox Flush at CCM Sump Tray and Filter

The Importance of Gearbox Flushing

Over time, automatic gearbox oil degrades, leading to blockages and slipping gears. Regular flushing removes old oil and contaminants, replacing them with fresh oil and new filters. This process therefore maintains optimal gearbox performance. We recommend flushing your gearbox around every 60,000 miles or so. If you’re unsure, give us a call and we can check what your vehicle manufacturer recommends for your vehicle age and mileage.

Key Benefits of this Service

All automatic gearboxes should have their oil changed every 50 to 70,000 miles.

Improved Performance

Regular servicing will keep your gearbox operating smoothly

Our Gearbox Flushing Services

We employ advanced flushing machines that remove old oil while running the gearbox in gear, ensuring a thorough clean. This process includes adding a flushing fluid treatment to break down contamination, followed by the installation of new filter and fresh oil.

Before performing a gearbox flush or oil service, we conduct comprehensive diagnostics to identify any underlying issues. Our tools include Launch, Bosch, KTS, AutoLogic, Autel and Snap-On allowing us to interact with your vehicle at the highest level.

After servicing, we reset the gearbox adaptions to ensure optimal performance, a step often referred to as 'resetting the adaptions'.

Why You Should Service Your Gearbox

Regular maintenance of your gearbox is essential. Over time, automatic transmission fluid (ATF) degrades, leading to internal pollution and clogged filters. This can cause drivability issues and gear change problems. If you’re uncertain about your vehicle’s service schedule, contact us with your registration and mileage and we’ll happily help.

Common Symptoms of a Degraded Gearbox:

Internal pollution and oil degradation can cause switching valves to respond sluggishly.

Clogged oil passages may result in insufficient oil pressure, preventing the gearbox from maintaining the correct gear

Inconsistent ATF fluid can lead to unstable oil pressure, causing RPM variations

Polluted switching valves and clogged oil pathways can slow down the kick down function

Internal contamination combined with wear can lead to gear slippage and over-revving

All the issues above, can lead to higher oil consumption as the gearbox works harder which ultimately, reduces gearbox efficiency
