The exhaust system does more than reduce noise.
It routes harmful gases away from the cabin, manages engine back pressure, reduces emissions, and in modern vehicles, plays a central role in the emissions control systems that keep your car legal and your engine running efficiently. When part of the system fails, the effects can range from an annoying rattle to a failed MOT, increased fuel consumption, or a more serious emissions fault.
At CCM, we carry out exhaust inspections, repairs, and replacements across all makes and models, from a straightforward box or pipe replacement to more complex work involving catalytic converters and exhaust sensors.
Many modern exhaust systems are closely integrated with the engine management system through sensors and emissions control components. A fault in one area can trigger warning lights elsewhere, which is why we always carry out a diagnostic check alongside any exhaust repair where warning lights are present.
