AdBlue - Ewhurst, Gatwick & Cranleigh

The Adblue warning light can appear with less notice than many drivers expect, and ignoring it isn’t an option. At CCM, we top up AdBlue across all makes and models as a standalone service or as part of a wider visit – quickly, correctly, and using the right fluid specification for your vehicle.

What is AdBlue?

AdBlue is a diesel exhaust fluid used by most modern diesel vehicles fitted with a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system. It’s injected into the exhaust stream to break down harmful nitrogen oxide emissions into harmless nitrogen and water vapour. Without it, your vehicle won’t run – most modern diesels will refuse to start, or will limit performance, once the AdBlue level drops too low or runs out entirely.

Common AdBlue warning signs:

  • AdBlue warning light on the dashboard
  • Estimated range until empty displayed
  • Vehicle entering a reduced performance mode
  • Engine refusing to restart after the tank runs dry

AdBlue system faults

A low AdBlue level is straightforward to resolve. However, if the warning light persists after a top-up, or if your vehicle is consuming AdBlue at an unusually high rate, there may be an underlying fault with the SCR system, the AdBlue pump, or a related sensor. Our diagnostic capability means we can investigate and resolve these issues as well as simply refilling the tank.

If you think you have an AdBlue problem, get in touch and we will be pleased to advise you.
