Why pay more to replace your tyres at a local dealership?
Four little areas of rubber each measuring about the size of the palm of your hand are the only areas of the car which actually contact the surface of the road so having good quality tyres which are in a good condition is really important. It is also very important to check that your tyres are inflated properly - tyres which are not properly inflated can affect your car's ability to brake and also ends up costing you more in fuel! Checking and maintaining you car's tyres will keep you safe, save you money and ensure you are following the law.
Here at CCM we stock a wide range of tyres to suit every vehicle, if we don't have your size in stock then we can have it later that same day as we have 2 or 3 daily deliveries from leading tyre wholesalers. If you are unsure about the condition of your tyres or want to see what different options there are when you need new tyres - we are happy to help. Just give us a call or book online. We will be able to select and fit your new tyres quickly, efficiently and cheaply.
Below we have listed some useful information about what exactly the basic legal requirements are when it comes to your tyres.
Your new tyres must be compatible with the other tyres already fitted on the car and all be in good condition.
Your tyres must be inflated correctly and to your vehicle manufacturer's recommended tyre pressure. You can usually find this information in your vehicle handbook, or if you are unsure we can help.
The tyre tread depth must be more than the legal minimum which is 1.6mm over a whole band of the tyre in the middle rows 3/4 of the tread and round the whole circumference.
It is not necessary to carry a spare tyre in your car and if you do it doesn't have to meet the minimum legal requirements. However we recommend that you do - better safe than sorry!
Our labour rates are kept consistently low so that we can offer you the best possible prices when it comes to replacing your vehicle's tyres.
